What is satellite TV

Satellite television can be found almost everywhere: in the summer house, in the country house, in a small village. It is available in remote areas where cable TV and good Internet have not yet reached. In large cities, satellite operators also have their customers due to the large number of channels and signal quality.

This format is able to provide customers with a variety of content on a monthly subscription. And the client himself determines the channels and resources for viewing.

Satellite TV is a system of television signal transmission via orbital satellites. To get a signal you need a set of equipment:

“dish” – a satellite dish.
Converter.
Receiver is a satellite receiver.
Smart card.

Modern televisions are often equipped with a built-in receiver, in these cases instead of a receiver you only need a CAM module to install a smart card.

Plates are made in different sizes. There’s a pattern that works: the bigger the dish, the more powerful it is and the better the signal.

Converter is a device for capturing and converting the signal to a less high frequency signal. It is placed on a holder in front of the antenna. In a straight-focus antenna the converter is placed in the center, in an offset antenna it is placed slightly to the side.

Receiver – completes signal conversion and decodes the signal. After passing through it, the signal is converted into picture and sound.

The equipment set itself is divided into two types:

Original. From the satellite TV provider. It is more expensive and does not always work with another provider.
Universal. It’s cheaper, and you’ll only need to buy another smart card if you change providers.

Providers are interested in customers to buy the original sets, and assure the latter that this is the only way they can get quality services. In fact, universal equipment works with any provider, but it is more difficult to set up.

Satellite TV is often equipped with a free package of channels, their list is formed taking into account the tastes and preferences of the mass viewer. These are the most popular and mainstream channels (usually state channels).
